Brenner’s Breaks

Imagine a world where Tony the Tiger has a coke problem and Toucan Sam is responsible for smuggling said coke into the US. If that’s not enough, that asshole frog from Smacks cereal is always on the corner and Sugar Bear just can’t be satisfied until his girls get that money. Now imagine this gang hosting a mixtape featuring remixes of MF Doom, Ghostface, Raekwon, Public Enemy, Outkast, Nas, and Roots Manuva… along with original material by newcomers J-iLL and Ryan-O’Neil. All produced by 100dBs? Sheeit… Oh yeah, I also did some remastering of the Argyle Album. Nothin major, but the levels should be a little more consistent track-to-track now.

Without further ado, I present to you… Brenner’s Breaks Volume 1. Free to all who wanna bounce in the whip to that real live shit. Dedicated to the memory of Dilla, who passed away one year ago on February 10th.

Thank you for your support.

First and foremost, let me take a moment to wish J Dilla a posthumous Happy Birthday. I’d be lying if I said he wasn’t a huge influence on me and a million young producers. It’s been a year since he passed and we’re STILL getting previously unheard material from dude. GO COP THE RE-RELEASE OF RUFF DRAFT ON MARCH 20th. Recognize.

On another note, let me say thanks for being patient. School was a bitch, and I’m never going back… so you can expect near-constant output from me now. Hate it or love it. Seriously, everyone who still kind of believed that I was eventually gwan release BBV1, STAND UP. The shit is in the final stages of mixing and will be up here in a few days for download. No release party, no pressing, just that straight crack for download. I kept y’all waiting so long that I don’t believe in making a big deal of it. Just enjoy the new shit. And oh yeah… a little birdie told me that Ryan-O’Neil and some short dude who makes beats have been cookin’ up some serious shit that’s just waiting for a warm day, so it can be put out on the windowsill.
